June has come to an end

To news, rhymes I lend-

Combining humor and fact

Hopefully with great tact.

Passed away a two time Secretary of Defense

Who crafted the Iraq War on questionable pretense

Oh Rummy, your career spanned half a century

Now, it’s a known known Iraq had no nuclear weaponry.

The CCP celebrates its 100th year

President Xi gets many a cheer

He vows to stand up to everyone

Yet, hasn’t China much aggression begun?

In Miami, a condo’s collapse

News of loved ones pitiful scraps

For years warning signs were abound

By the quest of profit were they drowned?

The Trump organization bigly indicted

Some tax crimes, the left’s delighted!

The IRS may not have brought the case

Could be the new rotten partisan chase.

Speaking of Drumpf, he went to the border

He claims that there Biden brings disorder.

Since fewer Americans worry about immigration

45 might need to find another fixation.

For New Zealand the first transgender athlete

In the Olympics will weightlift and compete.

It’s one thing to support trans rights

But what if they have more natural might?

In the NBA, injuries spread like wildfire

The league needs to go to how things were prior

Load management, sitting out stars, ridiculous!

With health and fitness instead be meticulous.

The plastic plague wrecks Mother Nature

However, bioplastics from corn could be major

Lowering our environmental impact

Still, our pollution must seriously contract.

There you have it, some news of the past week or so

If you dare to think my rhymin’ skills blow

It ain’t easy to be brief, rhyme and summarize

You should try this little game on for size!
