June 8th: Rhyme Time!

Ah, the eighth of June

Sing a summer tune!

Hopefully, not like the last one…

Still, some things remain not fun…

As we all struggle in the heat

I rhyme the news, no easy feat.

500,000+ jobs added in May

Much better than April, yay!

But how much is the pay?

Probably not enough, I say.

42.1% of the U.S. Population vaccinated

Yet, we need 70–85% to be emancipated

From the scourge known as COVID-19

Come now, anti-vaxxers, don’t make a scene.

Dems and Repubs can’t agree, oh the pain!

Roads and bridges will continue under strain

We’ll guzzle fossil fuels, not using clean energy

Maybe politicians’ salaries should be complimentary.

Kamala finally goes south of the border

Trying to stamp out the rampart disorder

She tells the migrants to not come-

Progressives ask, what have we become?

In Mexico, the largest ever election

Altering the country’s direction

Presidente AMLO lost his ‘qualified majority’

For failing to put crime under his authority.

The Butcher of Bosnia’s appeal was rejected

Perhaps a grievous error can be corrected

While life in prison won’t bring back victims

There’s some justice in the international system.

Bob Iger makes a cool 100 mil

Disney certainly pays the bills

But why sell 550,000 shares of stock?

Will the House of Mouse cause a market shock?

Taking a page out of #4’s book

No mini camp for #12… but look!

Let’s have an objective reaction…

Now we get to see Love in action.

Mayweather vs. Paul, a lot of hugs

They made millions, you’re not on drugs

Eight rounds and no knockout, what a flop!

This celebrity boxing stuff has to stop

There you have it, some news of the past week or so

If you dare to think my rhymin’ skills blow

It ain’t easy to be brief, rhyme and summarize

You should try this little game on for size!
