Liberation Day, Part 2

Liberation isn’t only for tariffs-

D.C. has a new sheriff.

Trump federalized its police

For misdeeds to cease.

Our capital has crime

But are we in its prime?

Trump wants us to believe

Criminals the city upheave,

You can’t walk the street

Without an unwelcome treat.

Your car will be pilfered

As you stand bewildered.

You will be murdered

Per the D.C. doctor’s orders.

The Don has the right

For a pair of fortnights

To take over our first city

But he shouldn’t get giddy.

Congress after 30 days

Approves the next phase.

To other cities by crime shred

Will this experiment spread?

An incredible thought

From a party that sought

To give power to the locals

Instead of political ‘nobles.’

Politics will get more thorny-

I don’t like this journey.
