Mask Mandate Fun!

This past week, oh what Wisconsin fun!

Both a public health emergency

As well as emergency order #1

Wearing masks-there’s more urgency

Look at the DHS’s data-damn!

The latest 7 day average of new

Daily cases is 860. Not a scam…

We have not bid COVID adieu.

Yet, as you’ve probably guessed,

Wearing masks is a bitter political fight

Oh, we Wisconsinites are so, so blessed

With the current Left and Right.

I will try to be rational, though simple am I

According to cost-benefit analysis.

Without being a partisan wise guy.

Minus subjection to analysis paralysis.

It isn’t anyone’s choice to wear a mask

They’re hot, itchy and not in fashion

But to potentially slow COVID, that’s our task!

Don’t think inconvenience-think compassion.

It’s not as if you cannot go where you need

Confined to house without a key.

To the mandate temporarily accede

And hopefully virus will flee.

Yet, let’s be fair, valid concerns exist

Until July 7th, Gov. Evers didn’t wear one

With the press. C’mon man, if you insist

Masks are the answer, put one on, get ‘er done!

Furthermore, why are buildings controlled

By the Legislature or Supreme Court exempt?

Must Repukes and Dumbocrats masklessly scold

Each other in their game of utmost contempt?

Despite questions, don masks shall the Badger State

For awhile or until monstrosity abates.

Keep your eye on the politicians, as you obey

We all know how emergencies lead

Power hungry douches astray.
