My point was not to insinuate that Zelensky is a puppet of the West. My phrasing was more ambiguous than I intended. Yanukovych was certainly a Russian puppet and Zelenskyy being friendly to the West makes a lot of sense considering what happened before. The focus here is on Russia respecting Ukraine's elections and not inserting puppets to make it go along with Russia's wishes.
